Chattogram, 26 February: The inauguration of the Chattogram District Office of the Bangladesh Supreme Party and an Iftar Mahfil were held today at 3:00 pm in the Dampara area of the city. The office was formally inaugurated by the party’s Chairman, Dr. Shahjada Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari.
In his inaugural speech, he stated that democracy becomes fragile if justice and good governance are not ensured. When the foundation of democracy is unstable, no country can achieve its desired development and progress. Addressing the new government, he called for the establishment of good governance and justice by eliminating corruption and negative political practices in order to build a welfare state.
He further said that no initiative can succeed unless the quality of life of citizens is improved. Therefore, to place democratic institutions on a solid foundation, the establishment of good governance is essential.
