On 1 January 2026, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) Chairman and Pir of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif, Hazrat Shah Sufi Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Al-Hasani wal Hossaini Al-Maizbhandari, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister, the late Begum Khaleda Zia, by signing the condolence book.
During the visit, he met with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and recalled Begum Khaleda Zia’s illustrious contributions to Bangladesh and its people. The discussion also highlighted her respectful connection with Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif, particularly with Shaykhul Hazrat Syed Moinuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari (RA).
Leaders and members from various levels of both BNP and BSP were present at the occasion.
