On October 26, at the Chittagong Regional Representative Meeting of the Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP), Chairman Shah Sufi Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Maizbhandari emphasized the importance of responsible governance by the interim government. He noted that the current government arose from a popular uprising, carrying the hopes of the people, and therefore has a duty to ensure stability and relief for citizens, especially amidst escalating prices of essential goods. The BSP Chairman warned that unchecked inflation is placing severe financial pressure on ordinary people and called on the government to control market manipulation to prevent further public discontent.
During his keynote address, Syed Saifuddin urged the interim administration to refrain from any actions that might lead to future crises. He further encouraged BSP members to accelerate organizational activities in preparation for the upcoming election.
